That’s why we don’t believe you’ll find policies that are more appropriate to the way you drive and use your car, or more competitive in terms of the cost of your premiums, than ours. MAIN POLICY OPTIONS

OPTION 1:

Roadside Cover

  • Will attend any breakdown that is over ¼ mile from home address
  • Try to repair vehicle at roadside, if not possible then we will arrange a 10 mile tow to a destination of the member’s choice or the nearest repairer
  • If your vehicle is left at a garage for repairs, RAC will reimburse taxi fares up to 20 miles for 8 people

OPTION 2:

Roadside, Recovery, At Home

All of Option 1 plus:

  • If the vehicle cannot be repaired locally within a reasonable time, we will recover the vehicle to any destination in the UK together with up to 8 people
  • Recovery can also be used if the driver falls ill and no one else can drive so that the journey can be continued. Subject to a medical certificate being provided
  • At Home cover is the same as Roadside with the added advantage of cover from your home address

OPTION 3:

Roadside, Recovery, Onward Travel

All of Option 2 plus:

  • Replacement car hire (+21 yrs olds only) up to 2 days
  • Alternative transport costs – we’ll reimburse you for rail, air, or other public transport costs – up to £150 per person or £500 per group
  • Accommodation – 1 night’s B&B accommodation for up to 8 people (£150 per person or £500 per group)

  • Annual protection for permanently lost keys to cover the cost of replacement keys, locks and car hire charges up to £1,500
  • Access to a nationwide network of locksmiths
  • No Claim Discount policy is not affected under your car insurance policy
  • Keys for any lock are covered including home and car keys
  • Nil excess to pay

  • Legal expenses up to £100,000 per claim
